Born in Afghanistan and raised in the United States, Kawa Mawlayee is the first and only Afghan-American Green Beret in the history of U.S. Army Special Forces. His career spans nineteen years as a Green Beret and five years as a Marine Corps infantryman, including numerous combat deployments with a concentration in the Middle East, building deep, firsthand expertise in firearms application, tactics, foreign intelligence, and human intelligence (HUMINT) operations.

Kawa has trained military units, law enforcement agencies, and government organizations across the United States and abroad. He also serves as a military consultant for film and television, advising productions on realistic tactics, movement, and weapons handling to bring authentic performances to the screen, including tailored training for high-profile actors and major productions.

Beyond 2ATG, Kawa stays active in his community, mentoring other men through personal and professional development groups, and partnering with several nonprofit organizations to raise awareness and funding for veterans in need, supporting programs that provide development and the extra support many veterans don't otherwise get.
